The purpose of this website is to provide all the necessary information for Hotel Kastro as well as Samothraki, give a full description of the hotel and the island through pictures, and give access to useful links.
Kastro Hotel is located in the north-western coast of the island, in Paleopoli, which is 5Km from the port of Samothraki, Kamariotissa. There are bungalows, which have 50 rooms, built in an area of 15 square metres. The hotel is very close to the sea so you can enjoy the view of Thrakiko sea from all the rooms.
While you are having your breakfast at the patio of the restaurant you may have the change to see dolphins. If you are not lucky enough to see them, you can enjoy the breakfast which includes our famous home-cooked rolls and sweets.
What is different in Samothraki and who will like visiting it? Apart from the interesting history, the museum and the archaelogical site, which is not far from the hotel, Samothraki is an island that offers unspoiled nature and crystal clear waters. If you are a nature lover, don't miss the opportunity to swim in Vathres under the waterfalls or just wander in the alleys, the beautiful settlements and taste the delicious local fish or kid meat. ROOM SERVICES
All the 50 rooms of the hotel have a sea view even if it is on the ground or first floor. The first 3 buildings are close to the pool, the rest 3 are not so close so you can choose most suitable for you.
There are 39 double rooms and 11 four beds rooms which irrespectively can be rented as single or triple ones.
There are two separated beds in the double rooms which can easily be bound.
The four beds rooms have one double bed and a divan which has the dimensions of a single mattress. It can accommodate 2 people and it is recommended for a family with kids.
All the mattresses of the beds and the divans are orthopedics.

We take full responsibility for offering you the best quality products and food. For example the rolls are a German recipe and are kneaded in the domestic bakery every day. In this way we want you to have a unique early start.
Dinner 19:00 - 23:30
The restaurant serves grilled food using local products. Cooked food and special offers are announced on the board of the restaurant.
We also offer a three course meal for groups if ordered in advance. It consists of the first course, the main and the desert.
The quality offered is the same for groups as well as individual customers.
Billiard
You will find the American billiard (professional) at the lounge of the reception. It can be used both by the young and the old. It is a place where you could relax whether you play or just watch.

The pool is available only to the hotel customers and is the main meeting point for fun. The dimensions are 22 metres in length and 11 in width. The water is sweet and we pay a lot of attention to quality checks. The presence of a lifeguard is announced by a special flag.

There is free parking close to the rooms. There is also a special parking lot where 3 buses can stop simultaneously.
ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA
Hiking
The trail to the waterfall of Fonia or the Vathres of Therma crosses over the most beautiful scenery of the island. For many it is the most memorable experience in comparison to other islands of our country.We don't want to share any more details or describe it to you because we would like to let you discover its beauty by yourselves. All we can say is " Back to Nature"!
Don't forget to wear sneakers!!
Beaches
Here you can find beaches which are not crowded and where you can enjoy some piece and quiet! Pahia Ammos is the organized sandy beach of the island where you can do sea sports. Therma also has an organized sandy beach.
The rest beaches of the island are stoney and pebbly like Kipoi which still has many admirers.
Sport
More and more fans of aerobic are visiting Samothrace. Cycling and jogging are two of the most favourite activities on the island. There are also experienced surfers who take advantage of the strong winds that exist in some parts of the island. You could also be informed through links about diving.
