At first sight, the Estate's premises seem to be keeping up with the distinctive lines of Genoan architecture. However, the use of local construction materials lends to the buildings their light softness which the whole Estate exudes. At Perleas, everything moves at a relaxed pace, everything seems to have been drawn from a distant, romantic past, inviting us to perceive life in a totally different manner. Those few but most valued earthly elements have been used by unique craftsmen since the 17th century. It was sheer craftsmanship that brought forward elaborate designs and ornate patterns. As the sun amuses itself playfully over the Estate with its precious rays reflecting upon the red stones, the tiny, artificial pond full of water lilies is bathed in striking colors, and the well with its wooden bucket-holder is waiting for you to quench your thirst. This interplay extends to the buildings as well.

The three different residences are indeed pure works of art, and their seven apartments can host at least 14 visitors. Scattered as they are across the Estate, they offer unique moments of complete relaxation, tranquility and even isolation from the outside world. At the centre of the Estate, the tiled yard bids you welcome. Then, a stone-paved path initiates you to experience a magical peregrination through gardens with flowers at full bloom and the big, trim orchard with the trunks of its fruit-trees freshly whitewashed.

The owners of the Estate have received prizes for the planting of the trees - the oranges and tangerine trees stretch into complete alignment, thus creating a unique sight. Wherever your eyes may drift, at Perleas your gaze is constantly lost amidst that silent choreography of the trees... The distinctive odour of the citrus trees and the legendary jasmines of Chios pervade every single room. Pieces of antiques, objects d' art and various creations by Perleas's owners add a most impressive touch to the interior of the apartments. An old, cinematographic camera and a tandem, the kind of which is no longer being manufactured, set off the uniqueness of the place.
