Nafplio (also called Anapli) is the capital of the of Argolida, the main port of the eastern Peloponnese and certainly one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Greece. A destination regardless of time of the year both Greek and foreign tourists.
In Nafplion history signs from the time of Venetian and Ottoman era are strong. Trademark of Nayplio is Mpoyrtzi castle (built by the Venetians) which you can visit by sea. Just 12 kilometers from Nafplion is located the idyllic and highly touristic area of Tolo, which is not to be missed. In the beautiful bay of Tolo, apart from the famous beach of Psili Ammos (Fine Sand) you can take a boat trip to the islands and Romvi and Daskalio, located inside the bay. Tolo can be a starting point for any extra visits to other islands in the area such as Hydra, Spetses, Poros.
