Serres is located in northern Greece and is one of the largest counties of Macedonia. In Serres there are most villages than any other prefecture in Greece!
The river Strymonas coming from Bulgaria crosses the prefecture of Serres and ends at Strimonikos gulf with it's known tributary Aggitis and the impressive gorge . In Serres the archaeological sites are around you: the city, Amphipolis, the monastery of St. John the Baptist, the holy monastery of Agia Kyriaki Alistratis etc.
Attraction are also several other places like the Valley of Saints Anargiron, or the ski resort in the unique kerkini lake where you can admire Lailia area with the rich natural beauty.
