Beaches in Agrinio
In Agrinio the are rather distant beaches which are famous throughout Aitoloakarnania.
A sufficiently large distance from Agrinio (about 1.5 hours ) you'll find a beach that will surely reward you. The Vathyavali beach is one of the best beaches in the whole Aetoloakarnanias!
Unlnown to many people up to now and even more pristine, it gets organized by the time. Access is somewhat difficult because of the dirt road but definitely the tranquility of the countryside and clear waters will compensate.
Forty- five minutes from Agrinio you can also enjoy a unique throughout the mainland beach, beach of Lourou. Approximately 7 kilometers , the visitor will surely enjoy the uniqueness of the area while it is habitat protected by the RAMSAR Convention of 1974.
Here are Laurels , cedars , lilies of sand and trees but also many birds that live in the surrounding area of Lourou as pelicans , storks , geese , finches , blackbirds , nightingales , wild horses and cows.
Quite close is the beach Paliopotamos (or Skrofes) who is also famous for its beauty.
